Conclusion of the debate
The board of health has decided that all three groups have valid points, and that having a positive body image depends on the personality of the person!
Alternative Therapies aspect on the debate
The Alternative Therapies fought that the best way to maintain a positive body image is through the use of alternative therapies like yoga and meditation. They argued that being mindful and spiritual is the first step in becoming happy with one's body image. One last argument the Alternative Therapies spoke about was that these methods are typically inexpensive, and can be done on the person's own time.
Exercise aspect of the debate
The exercise team fought that the best way to maintain a healthy body image is through the use of exercise. They argued that body image is changed most significantly by exercising. Exercising can release endorphins which is the chemical in the brain to feel good and relieve stress. Exercise can also gain confidence which is a huge factor in a positive body image, and finally exercise can help a person cope in a healthy way.
The nutrition aspect of the debate
The nutrition group fought that the best way to maintain a healthy body image is through eating a balanced diet. They argued that everyone is different in build and body type, and it is crucial for a person to chose the correct diet for them. They also discussed the different body types and how eating healthy can make a person feel and look good, leading to a positive body image.
